Starting and running a business isn't easy. Starting and running a successful business is even harder. Doing that while maintaining a life definitely isn't easy. Now you add in the social media part. I might as well work on having feelings as well.
But I know that social media is immeasurably important jn today's business world. So I try. Often though I just plain forget. When I'm plating a dinner for twelve people. And I'm trying to make sure every plate looks like a magazine cover I forget. Or I take pictures with my thumb in the picture or get a picture of their Walmart bag in the background.
I am starting to enjoy it a little. For one thing it's way less expensive to snap some photos throw in a pithy comment and hashtag it so someone in Michigan can see it. And may possibly decide they want to book my services when they come to Connecticut. This is definitely cheaper than taking out adds in magazines or Google adds. ( though google adds may happen...someday).
Plus getting to create content is a little fun. Not all the time periodically. Growing up I thought I wanted to be either the next great Western novelist. My mom got me into Zane Grey and Lous L'Amour. ( You folks under fifty might want to Google those names). Or I always thought I could be a photojournalist.
So now doing social media, I get to be a writer and a bit of a photojournalist. Just news about me and my stuff though.
So here I am on a saturday night, blogging about absolutely nothing again. But its content. And as i've mentioned before, it's a bit cathartic for me. Since I have the 2 to 3 readers.I'm not worried about offending too many people. Maybe in a couple years and I have forty thousand followers.I might have to explain some of the stuff I 've blogged. But then again through this blog, people should know the type of person I am. So this is me unfiltered not edited. Kinda like my life in general.
So this blog has come out in less than two months since my last one, so I think i'm doing better. Although this week will be the two year anniversary, three of me starting CheffingItUp. So I might have to get weird and actually do two posts in a week.
